Technological advancements are qualitatively changing the world. Largely because of this, it is the author's belief that the social structures that are now available for the interactions of nations are inadequate to deal with the realities of today's new world. The purpose of this book is to raise questions and to stimulate discussion about these matters.

Also, the author has traveled and worked widely abroad and, in this book, he has attempted to provide to those who are interested a small snapshot of what it is really like in the developing world, at this point in time.

"Noam Chomsky meets George Orwell in Alice's wonderland.... Your book shines a light on genocide, war, inequities, starvation, over population, destruction of the environment, disastrous foreign policy, gender issues and more--very sobering.  In addition to being enlightening, I really like that you propose a solution as well--free school lunch programs, the real economic benefits of disarming, getting rid of the US disastrous foreign policy by giving people outside the US the same rights and freedoms that exist within the US....and 'a new higher authority'."
